Dr Economou is an ENT – Head & Neck surgeon with a dual fellowship subspecialization in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

After the completion of his internship in general surgery at Tzaneio General Hospital in Pireus Athens, he completed his surgical residency in Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at University Hospital of Rio in Patras. Dr Economou received his medical training in Semmelweis University, Democritus University of Thrace and Ovidius University in Constanz where he graduated with MD Thesis “ Paralysis of the facial nerve in otic pathology” at the top of his class.

Dr Economou was awarded a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in London and a second fellowship in Academic Medical Centrum (AMC) Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Gilbert. N. Trenite.

During the last years Dr Economou has been working in different European countries, treating patients from all ethnic origins.

Dr Economou is highly sought-after for difficult corrective & reconstructive revision rhinoplasty.

Dr Economou’s extensive backround in head & neck tauma, tumor & birth defect surgery and his international advanced training in aesthetic facial plastic surgery give him a unique perspective & knowledge in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face & neck .

Dr Economou brings his patients the benefit of knowledge and experience gained over 10 years in the field of aesthetic & reconstructive facial plastic surgery.

Dr Economou has published in peer reviewed journals and contributed writing a chapter in the international rhinoplasty textbook “The Expert’s Reference” by A.P. Sclafani from Thieme. Dr Economou regularly lectures to international congresses worldwide promoting knowledge and serving the highly demanding field of facial plastic surgery.

Dr Economou believes that: “ The constant knowledge update is an evolution, the process of persuing the best long lasting results for our patients. Our goal is the rediscovery of our patients’ youth. “

Dr Economou’s patients are carefully evaluated, developing a custom treatment plan with the goal to reach the aesthetic hight of each of his patient redefining the aesthetics with respect to the natural facial balance.

Rhinoplasty: The Experts’ Reference

A comprehensive text that provides guidance from
world-renowned experts on every aspect of rhinoplasty,
from the functional to the cosmetic. The book opens with
a section on initial patient assessment and consultation,
moves on to such topics as surgery of the septum, with
separate sections on the nuances of functional nasal
surgery and revision rhinoplasty, and concludes with a
section on avoiding and managing surgical complications.
Each chapter is written by an expert on a specific topic
